FALL POSTER

SD46 is excited to offer StrongStart to our families.  This free program offers a warm and welcoming space to support playful connections between young children and their families and caregivers.  The program is designed specifically for children from birth to pre-kindergarten with a focus on connection, play and early development.

You and your child can explore, play and learn in an environment that is friendly, supportive and inspiring!

Each StrongStart location has a qualified Early Childhood Educator to lead activities that provide your child the opportunity to interact with others of similar ages.  Our educators also provide support to parents and caregivers by answering questions about early learning & development.

Families can expect a shared experience with activities such as story circles, interactive songs, imaginative play and arts and crafts.  A healthy snack will also be provided each day.

***Communicable Disease Prevention Measures***

In order to ensure our StrongStart community’s health and safety during these unprecedented times, we are taking the following measures:

  • StrongStart will be held outside as much as possible. Participants will be asked to dress for the weather.
  • The number of participants inside will be limited in order to maintain physical distancing.
  • Participants and staff will be asked to complete a daily health check prior to entering the school and then sign-in upon arrival.
  • Adults will wear masks inside. Extra masks will be available, as required.
  • Resources for completing a Daily Health Check can be found here:
  • The full StrongStart Communicable Disease Prevention Plan can be viewed here.

Dress for the weather as activities will be both indoors and outside!!
